My best friend has a daughter who just turned three! When she asked me to take some pictures I thought I would just take a couple, but it was so easy to get a bunch in just a few minutes! I try really hard to not be too invasive with my camera. Not everyone is comfortable with a camera in their face and I want to be sensitive to that. Her daughter wanted a ballerina birthday party, so my friend found this darling dress for her at TJ Max. She made the cake herself! She put everything together, and when we arrived she had made tutus for all of the little girls. So when it was a good time to take pictures (after things have died down a little) I cleared away some furniture and brought her over to where the light would be soft and pretty. She just went right into character! I gave her almost no direction as she just started dancing! I find little girls do this often when you make room in your house. They’re like, “Finally, I have room to twirl!!” As you can see from my pictures each detail of the party was perfect. From the BEAUTIFUL cake to the nutcracker playing lightly in the background. It certainly put any birthday party I’ve done for my kids to shame!!!
